Can't stop love

The love I refer to of course is the one I have for sneakers. It had been many a month since I last bought sneakers, so I decided today would be the day to acquire myself a new pair or two. It was quite the long drive around to the outlets at Auburn but arrived ten minutes early so it was an awkward sit in the carpark for ten minutes or so before heading in. I eagerly powerwalked to the backwall where my Air 180s were waiting for me - then I wanted to cry because the smallest pair they had was a size 11. For reference, I am a size 9-9.5 so naturally I was instantly devastated. However, the other pair I wanted to buy, Lunar Elite Mid+, was there and I settled for a size 10 because of its mid-cut-ness. Then went to Adidas and found some cheap L.A. Trainers so I jumped on those too. Very happy.

So I did go to DFO and whatnot, but all of that is irrelevant.

Mum is still treating me like I still my HSC to do, and that I should not be wasting my time with leisurely activities such as playing Final Fantasy VII until the dead hours of the morning, or spending days sneaker shopping. She accuses me of "throwing my money out the window" because I just bought two pairs of shoes. It was a touch under $110, for two pairs of shoes that isn't really too much of a splurge. But she claims I am wasting my money. Sigh. Twenty-five pairs and she still tells me that something is wrong. I just like sneakers.

Perhaps now I have to rebudget for things like new guitar strings and yearbook payment, but I'll get by. Now I suppose I do have to find a job and get some dough for the D700. Oh and the shoes I bought today:

Pickup 3/11/11: Nike Lunar Elite Trail Mid+

Pickup 3/11/11: Adidas L.A. Trainer
