Watson, what time is it?

So last night/this morning was a rush, grabbing stuff getting ready to go city. Bought the Inca i531 ballhead tripod at JB Hifi for $75 after some quick negotiation. Bing Lee sells the same tripod for $130. Really can put a price on anything these days huh. Camera House and Paxtons were trying to slag to me $300+ tripods, Manfrottos and whatnot. Though, in all honestly, I would like the Manfrotto 190PROXB. Down the track. Drove out with the family to city, trying to find parking in Glebe/Ultimo, then rushing down to Darling Harbour where we missed the beginning of the fireworks. In the three hours between fireworks, I roamed with the D700 and tripod, taking street photog. at ISO 3200-6400 and stunning myself with the cleanliness of the image. Dropped by Harbourside to say hi to Lissa, but the minute I turned my back she was gone, zzz. Then 12am came, where I was already sitting ready with the camera. One thing that was really cool was that the crowd was mostly Asian tourists, so no one was a nuisance or anything. Even sort of strange/interesting was that we all sat down in silence watching the fireworks. As Aimy put it, deep. Benefit of this was that the camera was getting clean shots without any obstructions, and I had ample time and opportunity to make adjustments throughout my burst. Yes, I sort of broke in the shutter - somewhere around 540 shutter clicks. Another 149,460 before it supposedly goes bust. Anyway, for what it is worth, ISO 100, f/8-10, 1-2 second shutter for firework photography. Pictures viewable on Flickr. They are actually pretty good I reckon haha.

So I started cardio again today. Went for a run/jog and it was alright, did not feel like collapsing midway, which is a good sign. Also started a 366 (thanks Ena hahaha) but unsatisfied with the image. Not that it is a bad photo or anything, but something meaningful would have been cool. Oh well, another 365 times to get it satisfactory. Viewable on Facebook.

How does 2012 look? I have no bloody clue. It is just 2011, but with a 2 on the end.
